Overview

From ports and government facilities to commercial customers implementing security measures outlined for FIPS 201 and TWIC, the DSV2+TURBO® serves as the mobile component of ID verification. Based on the same proven platform as the DSVII, the DSV2+TURBO was developed based on regulations surrounding the FIPS 201 and TWIC programs.

The Datastrip DSV2+TURBO handheld biometric terminal is designed for mission-critical ID verification programs. The unit is ergonomically designed to be held comfortably in the user’s hand and can be configured to operate for up to 14 hours. The unit reads contact/contactless smartcards, with optional capabilities for reading TWIC, PIV, NG CAC, PROX, MIFARE, iCLASS and magnetic stripe.

Supporting applications requiring memory expansion and global communications, the unit offers a variety of extended capabilities. The DSV2+TURBO can be connected to third-party databases and networks via USB, CF, serial, 802.11g, Bluetooth® and cellular technologies.

The DSV2+TURBO was the first single-fingerprint capture device certified by the General Service Administration’s FIPS 201 program, and it has been deployed to support TWIC implementation at a major U.S. port.

The DSV2+TURBO is the most flexible, dependable and rugged device in its class.
