History In the early 1970's Xerox Corporation founded P.A.R.C., the Pala Alto Research Corporation. The purpose of this centre was the development of new products for Xerox to sell through its worldwide network.
In the mid 80's a new organisation called SoftStrip was formed who's core business was the development of a two-dimensional (2D) printed code, from original ideas formulated at P.A.R.C.
In 1993, Mr Jack Walker, the UK Millionaire Industrialist purchased the assets of SoftStrip and formed Datastrip Holdings.
In 1997 Datastrip Limited was reformed and Datastrip Inc. was formed in Exton, Pennsylvania, followed by Datastrip Products Inc. in 1998.
Datastrip Holdings is part of Rosedale (JW) Investments Ltd, a group of companies which includes, amongst others, Blackburn Rovers, a UK Premier League Football Club and British European Airways.
